La Maison des Artistes is located in Villedieu-le-Château, 8 km from La Chartre-sur-le-Loir, 2 hours 30 minutes from Paris, 35 minutes from Vendôme TGV station and Tours Val de Loire Airport, and 45 minutes from Tours or Le Mans TGV stations.
A 5-minute walk from the house, a small village grocery store is perfect for picking up everyday essentials in a pleasant setting or simply stopping for a coffee. Other shops, including a pharmacy and a supermarket, can be found in La Chartre-sur-le-Loir.
Just a few steps from the house stands the Saint-Jean-Baptiste priory, a true landmark of Villedieu-le-Château. This former priory was transformed into a fortified castle in the 14th century, and its stone remains still bear the marks of centuries of history.
The village is also home to the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church, whose origins date back to the 13th century. Consecrated on 18 October 1493 by Philippe de Luxembourg, then Bishop of Le Mans, it houses several objects protected as French historic monuments.
